Due to expansion, we are seeking experienced Blow Moulding/Injection Moulding Technicians and Setters to join our team. Experience in Extrusion and stretch blow moulding required.
1. Setting of blow moulding machines.
2. Making sure set ups are completed and manufacturing to correct weight, cycle time and the correct material. Experience in PET and HD/LD materials is advantageous.
3. Monitoring of production processes by checking production at the start of your shift i.e. a sweep of the moulding area making sure all the machines running efficiently and making quality production.
4. Complete daily down time sheets by recording down time and set ups worked on during shift.
5. Ensure production is maintained by supporting lead packers and Q.C to ensure machine stoppages are dealt with swiftly and competently.
6. Submit first off and end of run samples and complete paperwork.
7. Record tool settings and communicate to peers.
8. Check for worn tooling and escalate to production manager.
9. Raise maintenance issues to maintenance department.
10. Ensure prior to finishing shift that work is logged on the handover sheets and a verbal handover is completed.
11. Individual machine logs must be completed if any work has been done.
12. Responsible for the quality and production on their shift and effects their actions will have on other shifts.
13. Raise quality concerns and alert Q.C so previous production can be checked and quarantined if required.
14. Ensure machines are left in a safe clean condition with guards checked and in place at all times.
15. Clean all tooling and store away in correct location before finishing shift.
16. Remove purge / damaged /substandard production to correct recycling area.
17. Sign off production sheet and guard sheets.
18. Inform the lead packer when machine is ready to run so they can allocate packing staff.
Salary will be dependent on experience and the willingness to work shifts.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £34,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
