POSITION

You will be responsible for producing precision tools, moulds, and components using conventional, CNC and EDM machinery. This role requires strong technical expertise, a commitment to quality, and the ability to work collaboratively within a fast-paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Tool Production: Design, manufacture, and maintain precision tools, jigs, and fixtures using a range of manual, EDM and CNC machines to produce deep draw press and plastic moulding tooling.

• Programming: Create, edit, and optimize CNC programs using CAD/CAM software to ensure efficient and accurate machining.

• Machine Setup: Set up and operate CNC milling, turning, grinding, and other machinery as required, ensuring proper tool alignment and machine calibration.

• Inspection and Quality Control: Use precision measuring instruments (e.g. micrometers, calipers, gauges) to inspect finished products and ensure they meet specifications and tolerances.

• Problem-Solving: Troubleshoot and resolve machining and tooling issues to maintain quality and efficiency in production.

• Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, production teams, and other toolmakers to optimize processes and achieve production goals.

HOURS:

Rotating Shifts; 6am-2.15pm, 2.00 pm – 10.15 pm, 10.00 pm – 6.15 am

Rate of pay Depending on Experience.

Pay: £16.70-£20.00 per hour
